Bump on the head after hitting the rock, woke up with dizziness. Risk of head trauma?
My daughter hit her head on a rock this morning. She has a small bump on the head so I felt confident there wasn t any internal problem. She went sleep early and woke up in her bed with some dizziness that disapated after she became oriented to her surroundings. Is there a high risk that she suffered any head trauma based on the symptoms described.

Hello,
Based upon the hostory you have provided it seems unlikely that your daughter has major brain injury. The absence of loss of conciousness, vomiting, bleeding from nose, ear rules out a major insult to the brain. Note that minor head injury which may affect brain will not prtoduce any major symptoms. You can resolve this problem by two ways
1. you can do a CT SCan of brain to rule out a remote possibility of brain injury
2. As clinically there is no evidence of any barin injury, you can observe her and in case she develpos a new symptom, you may take her to a local physician
My advise will be to follow the second one
