Bump on neck back, diagnosed klebsiella. What precaution shall I take?

I had a large pimple-like bump on the back of my neck that has been tested to be Klebsiella. I am taking two anti-biotics (Clindamycin and something else). The doctor said that I do not need to take any other precautions, but I am very concerned about spreading it to my girlfriend, co-workers, and/or 87-year-old mother. Wha tother precautions do I need to be taking to ensure I do not spread it to them.

You seem to have developed a pyodermic lesion..You can continue with the antibiotics that you have been prescribed...Other than that, you need to keep the area clean and dry...Use an antiseptic solution to clean the area twice a day and apply topical antibiotics..
Wear cotton clothes so as to decrease sweating...Do not apply oil to your hair,,,Avoid using any moisturizing creams/lotions/oils over the affected area
Wash your clothes seperately and use seperate towel for yourself at home...
and avoid touching the area again and again the fluid /pus from the lesion can be infective..

Hope it helps
