Bump On Ear, Bruising, Pus Filled, Is It A Cyst Or Tumor?

Hello. A friend of mine has a bump on the back of his ear. The bump appears to have some bruising, a little bit of puss coming out of it, and it has grown over quite a period of time. I'm going out on a limb and thinking it is possibly a cyst or a tumor, but then again I'm no doctor. Some information on this would be greatly appreciated.
