Hello to who it may concern, I have starting experiencing pain and swelling and now a bump the size of a half dollar on the back of my head in occipital region. It has become painful, and sore. I have headache from it. My thought from some research I have done it maybe a infected hair follical, but of course not sure. I did get a haircut last week this has maybe gave me reason to think it maybe this.

hi. yes it could be a furuncle with cellulitis.
1.Do hot fomentation
2.Take oral antibiotics for a week like Amoxycillin/Augmentin/Cefadroxyl/Cefpodoxime
3.Apply Topical mupirocin ointment twice daily
4.Take oral NSAIDs like Voveran/Ibuprofen for decreasing the pain and swelling
