Bump Near Vagina, Reappearing. What Could Be This?
I have a bump near my virgina area. I doesn't hurt. in fact if I press on it it disappears, however it returns soon after (a few hours later) some times I woun't see it for weeks and than one day there it is. So i push down on it til it disappears and it goes away for a little while. This started almost a year ago. I have been tested for std with negative results. I went to the doctor once and he said it's probably a gland acting up and not to worry about it. I'm concerned because I figured it would stop appearing out of the blue. Please advise.
I would have loved to have some more precision on the exact position of this bump. If it is at the lower right/left side of the vaginal, then i am suspecting a bartholin gland lesion. This is often a cyst or abscess. But abscesses will not disappear without treatment, leaving us more with a cyst.
Because you have been investigated and cleared of infection, you may want to address this problem if you feel uncomfortable having it. The most commonly done procedure is called marsurpialisation. A very minor procedure done on out patient basis with minimal risk and complications.
