Bump, Bruising On Knee. Applied Ice, Taken Ibuprofen. Serious?
I fell on both knees my one knee instantly has a weird long bump about 1 inch below the knee cap and I see some bruising on it he bump and the bump is parallel to the knee cap.....I have ice on it and took some ibuprofen . Should I go to the doctors as I am wondering if it is more serious than a bruise? I also have the mat marks on both knees from the tennis court.
thanks for your query. It’s obligatory for you to see some local doctor. I would advise you to take X-ray of your joint (PA and lateral view) to rule out any fracture. Meanwhile you can take • Ibuprofen • Bandage on your knee • Tablet Naproxen Sodium 550 mg BD If you don’t get relief, plz let me know on pakheim@gmail.com pakheim@yahoo.com Hoping that you will get benefit from my advice. My prayers are with you. Thanks and best regards. Dr. IjazNasir Chest Specialist and Head of Chest Department Gulab Devi Chest Hospital Lahore
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. This is hematoma ( contusion) due to blunt injury. Ice pack and ibuprofen is the best step . Rest & immobilization just for 4-5 day provide relief . Beside this you can take serratiopeptidase 10 mg twice in day as this will resolve swelling. Good luck. Dr. HET
