Bulge At Base Of Neck. Done CT Scan. Have Pain And Discomfort. Any Information?

I have a bulge at the base of my neck (close to c3) It s been there for about five years and has not improved. I have had two ct scans done but nothing showed. My massage therapists is concerned with this because as of today it has changed shape, almost with a point as if it was a piece of bone. This causes me great pain and discomfort and would appreciate and any information you can give me. Thanks

Hi,

As long as the bulge in the neck close to c3 do not interfere with your every day life to much to the point of intolerable its better , just leave it alone.

But if it has reached to point of utmost discomfort you need to consult near by spine surgeon and have it looked at it and if possible have it treated.
Thanks.
Dr.JAY PATEL.
