Bruising Appearing Above Ankle On The Inside Of Left Leg In Marathon Training. What Might Be This ?
Hi there - I am marathon training at the moment and have noticed that I have bruising appearing above my ankle on the inside of my left leg. It is not painful to stand on, rotate in any direction however I do get pain when running. do you know what this might be? I am really committed to my training and have only 6 weeks left so really do not want to miss the race!

Hi and welcome to HCM
It might be stress fracture or strain .I advice you to follow the below mentioned guidelines -
* Give adequate rest to the involved muscle group and avoid any movement that causes pain * Ice packing once in every 2 hours over the affected area * Moist heat application to relax the muscles * Local application of muscle relaxant gel * Analgesic medications as needed
I do hope that you have found something helpful and informative and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care.
