Bruise On Arm With Little Lump

Hi, my 2 year old has a bruise on his arm with a little lump in the middle. We noticed it a few days ago, and it was pinkish, it has now darkened and we are a little concerned. We thought it may be a bug bite at first, but there is no bullseye, you can t see veins in his arm around the area as if it were a venomous spider , it is not infected....We live in rural MI and were only able to see a PA, who ordered x-rays. She thought it might be a fracture , but he did not wince when she pressed on it...? He is not favoring the arm, or slowing down at all. Should we be concerned? Should we take him somewhere to get blood work? Thank you so much for the advice!

If he is well and the lump is not changing at all I would observe it. Look for increasing redness or discharge, an increase in the size of the lump, increasing pain or a fever. I'm not sure whether you can take a photo of the lump and share it on this forum but I would be happy to take a look. If it does get any worse, or over a period of seven to 10 days does not improve I would seek medical attention.
