Bruise Breakout For No Reason. Taking Antibiotics. Recommendations?

My 42 year old daughter occasionally breaks out into bruises for no apparent reason on the right side of her body which includes her leg, stomach and arm. Only one bruise hurts her. Her doctor gave her an antibiotic which seems to me would not solve the problem. She is also anemic. Any idea as to what it could be and would a visit to a rheumatologist be in order?
Thank You~Lynn

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic
Spontaneous bruising could be due to some medications like aspirin, clopidogrel, gingko biloba, pain killers, steroids etc or due to decreased platelets and clotting factors or due to fragile capillaries due to ageing.
A complete blood count including platelets, bleeding and clotting time is important. A visit to hematologist is ideal. Hope this helped.
Take care.
