Brownish Mucus During Bowel Movement Occasionally. Taking Medication For IBS. What Could Be This?
Hi my name is Missy and for about 2 to 3 weeks now not all the time about 2 to 5 times a week i will have a normal stool then a few days it feels like i have to go and my stomache carries on and i sit down and all that comes out is a brownish mucus comes out...I was diagnosed about 3 years ago with ibs and i take medicine for that....i just don't understand what is going on...
hello Missy I think your IBS sometimes irritates your intestine causing it to release small amount of blood which disintegrates to give rise to brown colores stools with mucus.
You are advised to collect the specimen and have a occult blood test of your stool to confirm my findings.
Hi, welcome to Health care magic forum. As you describe, it is I.B.S, but it appears that there is an amoebic colitis, as well. It usually presents as an alternative constipation and diarrhea in some people. I prescribe to my patient with with such symptoms ofloxacin, ornidazole, ranitidine, and amikacin 500mg injection daily. Avoid taking more of spices, junk foods, and oily foods. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
