Brown Spotting. Scan Shows Heartbeat, Ovarian Cyst. Cause Of Bleeding?
Hi since Thursday I have had brown spotting I am currently 6 weeks pregnant. On Sunday i got some dark red bleeding and today I had more dark red with a small black clot after this i had a scan and a heartbeat was detected. They also found a cyst on my right overy but no sign of bleeding from it. I was advised there was no bruising around the baby either and cause of bleeding is sill unknown/. Of course I'm sitting here worrying like mad now. I'm scared of miscarrage after 2 healthy pregnancys and never had any bleeding with them. Are there other causes for this bleeding?

Early pregnancy bleed could be due to intercourse, an infection in genital tract, implantation or miscarriage.
As your scan is showing no signs of miscarriage, your bleeding could be due to other reasons.
take these precautions: Take time off work, Stay off your feet, Not have sex, Not use tampons.
consult your doctor if you notice these symptoms:
Heavy bleeding
Bleeding with pain or cramping
Dizziness and bleeding
Pain in your belly or pelvis

Thank you for the query.
As long as in your ultrasound you hear heartbeat and there is no associated abdominal pain and you have no increased amount of bleeding over time.Nothing to worry about it as it may be the implantantion bleeding.But if you find any of the other symptoms i have mentioned you need to have a scan again.
