Brown Discharge Followed By White, Nipple Soreness, Back Pain, Vaginal Irritation Post Period. Stopped BC Recently. Reason?
Hello. I recently quit taking my birth controls pills a little over a month ago. I had my period last month but it only lasted like 3 days instead of like 5 or 6 usually. Earlier this week I had a jelly like discharge that kinda had a smell and was brown in color but just one time. Then couple days later I had white discharge with no smell and the last couple days my nipples have been sore to touch, lower back pain, and today my vaginal area seems kind of irritated, it doesn't burn when I pee or anything though. What could be going on with me?
Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.
Given the whitish vaginal discharge and vaginal irritation, one problem that you have sounds like a vaginal yeast infection. Also, given that you are off of the birth control pills, you will start having cycles related to your symptoms (including breast tenderness) that you did not have while you are on the pill. Check a pregnancy test and treat yourself for a yeast infection. If it does not clear up, call your doctor.
I hope that this helps!
