Broken Rib After An Accident. Pain After Recovery. Is It Normal?

Hi I was in a car accident 5months ago and had a broken rib. I have been on crutches for another injury for 7 weeks now and still will be on them for a minimum of 6 more weeks. Well I have been experiencing pain again. Is it normal to feel that because of the weight on the crutches. Have been taking over counter meds.and not helping.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain at the site of rib fracture after the recovery is commonly seen due to post traumatic stiffness. This mild pain usually subsides with mild pain killers, hot fomentation and graded exercises.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
