Broken Ankle Healed But Extremely Itchy. Cause And How To Stop It?

I have recently broke my ankle which is now healed up I'm currently in a walking boot I wash it once a week and the itch only goes away when I'm walking my foot all the way to my knee has started to become extremely itchy the past couple of days its to the point I can't sleep and have tried just about everything. What could be causing this horrible itch and what could I do to help it stop.

Hi, the itch may be due to allergy to the material of the shoe, or detergent you are using to wash it, or may be due to the infection due to suffocation in side the shoe.
I advise you to consult a dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment . in the mean while i advise you to avoid the detergent, if you are free of itching you can either change or avoid the detergent. Thank you.
