Bright Red Blood Accompanied With Bowel Movement And Cramping. What Can Help?

It started with bright red blood only on the tissue paper when I was using the bathroom yesterday and then by mid afternoon yesterday it is like a period with no cramping and it is accompanied always by a bowel movement . Any time I use the bathroom whether to urinate, I also have to have a bowel movement. This is rare for my body because I normally only have one bowel movement per day and I was wondering if my UTI had spread up eventhough I am taking the medication to get rid of it.

Dear friend, thank you for choosing HCM.

do you feel it is coming from the anus or through the urine?
bright red blood per rectum can not be due to UTI.
if it is painless, is the bleed before the motion or after?
do you starin for stools?
do you feel urgency or inability to hold back motions?

if it is fresh red blood it is ususlly due to terminal bowel pathology like piles, fissures, tumours or vascular lesions.
fissures will have pain and straining.
painless bleed P/R will need to be examined by a surgeon by P/R exam and possible procto/ colonoscopy.

if it is coming from tha vagina, it can be urinary or menses like uterine/ local vaginal.
did you have any trauma to private parts/gynaec problems?
you will need a gynaec check up if you say it is a bleed from the vaginal opening.

pl. revert with the exact site of bleed if you can differentiate.
I hope to have answered your query satisfactorily.
Take care and please keep me informed of your progress.
Good Luck !
