Breathlessness, Numbness After Eating Or Drinking. Suffering From Blockage?
Sometimes when my husband is eating or drinking he will suffer an eposide where he can t breathe and goes limp for a few seconds. It passes and he can continue eating but remembers to chew his food thoroughly and doesn t have a problem finishing what he was eating. Is he suffering from some sort of blockage? Thank you. Mrs.

There are several condition which can cause such symptoms. Most common are hiatal hernia, gERD, esophageal stricture. It should be evaluated by gastroscopy. Also, some bowel motility disorders and enzyme defficieny can cause ut as well. He should eat more frequently but smaller meals and avoid food that cause gastritis .
