Boil On Armpit Was Cut Open, Drained And Packed. Given Sulfamethoxazole-tmp Ds. Should The Boil Still Be Drained?
i have a boil in my armpit that was cut open & drained & packed yesterday morning. I was given sulfamethoxazole-tmp ds to take for 7 days. My question is should the boil still be draining? The packing isn t holding it all its draining puss outside the packing... Is that a sign the medicine is working or do i need to go back?

Hi as i know when ever any boil should be left open after it is drained .unless it is very larger.it should be drained completely.use of broad spectrum antibotic twice daily use of anti inflammatory agent can cure the condition.keeping the surroundings clean and keeping it dry can cure it
