Hello, Your fasting levels of HBA1c at 6.78 correspond to around 148 mg of sugar and is definitely high and it indicates that you have been having high sugar levels in past three months while your fasting blood sugar levels at 6.24 mmol suggest the level of blood sugar around 112 which means that you have started taking care of your diet and exercises lately. METFORMIN is a wonderful drug and it would help you in achieving weightloss also.Other benefits are... It reduces insulin resistance which is very high in type 2 diabetics. It reduces cholesterol and triglycerides levels. It protects your cardiovascular system. You should definitely take METFORMIN and carry on with your diet control and exercises. Thanks
