Blood Tests Shows High Level Of Glucose. Prescribed Glucophage For 3 Months. Should I Start Medication Immediately?

I did a blood profiling and found that my fasting blood glucose id 6.24 and HBac1 is 6.78. I have been exercising quite regularly for the past 2 months and before that I was n't that active. Doctor has prescribed glucophage for three months I am worried that if i start this it will continue for life and I want to change the diet and see if the level drops down , is it advisable or shold i start the medication immediately

Your fasting levels of HBA1c at 6.78 correspond to around 148 mg of sugar and is definitely high and it indicates that you have been having high sugar levels in past three months while your fasting blood sugar levels at 6.24 mmol suggest the level of blood sugar around 112 which means that you have started taking care of your diet and exercises lately.
