Dear customer,

You had a tea with sugar at 8 am and the test done at 9:30 am so you had a test for post prandial glucose test. The reading of 133 mg% is only slightly higher than normal. The upper limit for Glucose tolerance test is 126mg% as per harrisons medicine.

You should have a fasting and post-prandial glucose test done which is also known as glucose tolerance test along with glycelated Hb levels(Hba1c) which will give a better diagnosis and idea about your sugar levels.

You may have these test done after consulting a diabetologist. The slightly impaired test can be managed by diet and exercise therapy alone.

Thank you

Hi, Krishnakumar,
Thanks for query.
As you had tea with sugar and blood sugar was 133 is bit high.
So it is better go for blood sugar of both, fasting and two hours after your lunch to have correct blood sugar level.
It is advisable to go for a1c to get three months blood sugar level.
Ok and bye.

Hi Krishna

Yes you should do fasting glucose test. This is not possible conclude on single test after tea with sugar

Your BP was 150/90 was also high, need few more readings of BP, if found in this range then measures should be taken to bring down the BP in the range of 130/80.

Hello
Your reading of 133 doesn't suggest or rule out diabetes completely.
Ideally you should go for blood sugar FASTING and PP done for knowing the exact status of your blood sugar levels.
However prima facie,it appears that you may not have diabetes.
Your BP is high and should ideally be around 120 to 130/ 80.
