dear sir, my age is 30 year and i am a mail. i am very afraid with my blood report cholesterol 249.triglycerides 259. cholestrol hdl 43.direct ldl cholestrol 172. chol-hdl ratio 5.8.ldl-hdl ratio 4.0very low density lipoprotein 51.8. please tell me how can i being normal with increasing all above thing. also gave me a diet plane to decrease my cholesterol. regard saurabh

consum garlic in the morning.its good in decreasing cholestrol.avoid fat,cheese,oil,alcohol.do exercise.n consult ur doctor.statins r drugs to reduce cholestrol.monitor ur blood pressure.if ur bp is on higher side control it vid antihypertensives..n dont worry u vil b fyn..tc

Hello.welcome.Don't loose heart as this is a problem being suffered by millions all over the world mostly and generally due to bad and faulty life style.Change your lifestyle.Go for regular physical exercises,low saturated fats,zero transfats,green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits.In medicines you must start statins like storvastatin for your cholesterol and fenofibrates for your triglycerides.consult your doctor for the prescription and just don't worry.Every thing will be alright.Good luck.

1)IT IS HARD TO REDUCE THE QUANTITY,SO ALWAYS FOCUS ON QUALITY OF FOOD,DIETING IS SELDOM EFFECTIVE!

2)ADD MORE ITEMS IN YOUR PLATE BY REDUCING RICE OR ROTI.

3)THESE ITEMS SHOULD BE NOT ONLY ACT AS FILLER,THEY SHOULD BE HEALTHY,CUTTING OUT TWO ROTI AND ADDING 1/2 CUP OF NON CREAM CURD,1/2 GREEN VEGEGETABLES WILL GIVE BETTER RESULT WITH NO PROBLEM OF HUNGER SATISFACTION.

4)REPLACE ANOTHER HALF OF RICE OF ROTI WITH SALAD.

5)NOW YOUR POSSIBLE MEAL MENU IS ALMOST READY:
2 ROTI+1/2CUP VEG,1/2LEEFY VEGETABLES+1/2 CUP CURD,ROTI CAN BE REPLACED WITH 1/2 BOWL (SMALL)OF RICE IF REQUIRED

6)ADD A BONUS OF 1/2 CUP PULSES OR 2 PIECES OF MEAT/FISH.

7)TRY TO COOK IN MICROOVEN OR NON STICK WARES WITH NO OIL OR GHEE.

8)IF MICROVEN IS NOT AVILABLE ,JUST DISCARD THE GRAVY THEY ABSORB MOST OILS IN THEM.

9)LESSER OIL DOES NOT EFFECT THE TASTE AT-ALL!

hi,sourabh,welcome to health care,your total cholestrol and triglyserides is really high at this age but nothing to worry ,first try daily exercise for half hour,avoid fast and fatty food,check ur lipid profile after 3months if still high cosider drugs.
