Hi, im 21 yeas old, female. Lately, when i spit there is blood together with my saliva and i have cough right now. It 's not a dry cough.Sometimes, when i wake up, i can taste some blood coming from my throat(before i had the cough). There are 2 lumps in the right side of my neck. ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello,
You need to see a physician first and get you lungs examined for disease , also need for X ray Chest .
Ruling out disease from lungs is important as cough for long time will cause irritation of airways and will lead to increased blood flow and then bleeding which will come as streaks of blood in sputum .
At home you can take steam inhalations which will be soothing.
a short course of steroids may also help after the cough is dry.
