Blood In Mucus While Coughing. Smoking Addiction. Are These Related?

i am 21 years old. i had cough and cold a few weeks ago but now it is gone.everyday iclear my throat in the morning but today i was a bit harsh while clearing my throat and i coughed forcefully .after some tym little bit of blood came out with the mucus..is it really serious??i smoke regularly but not much around 2 to 3 cigarettes

I have red details of your questions.

If this had happened first time & there is no previous history of such blood in sputum then ,this is most probably related with harsh cleaning of throat.This ha occured due to rupture of a minor capillaries in throat.You should not worry about that.If it is occurring recurrently then please consult to your doctor & have complete examination of throat & get a x ray of chest done.
