Blockages Could Not Be Fixed Due To Position. On Highest Dosage Of Metroprolol. Chest Pains. Solution?
My son who is 34 years old recently had an angiioplasty which showed three blockages. Two of these cannot be fixed with a stint because of there location. The doctors put him on numerous medications hoping to let the arteries expand. He has been on these medications for about a month & is now on the highest dosage of metoprolol allowable. He is not feeling well, and is retaining fluit. He has always been physically active & now can t walk 20 feet without having chest pain . The doctors have told him they want to give the medication time to work. Can you help?

if he is retaing fluids- take less salt, and take only 1.5 liter fluid per day ,its mean that ejection fraction of your son is less or kidney disease
he is too symptomatic , so you should take another opinion of interventional cardiologist for angioplasty or cardio thoracic surgeon for coronary artery bypass surgery.
