Bloating, burping, flatulence, rash on face, forehead. Applying moisturizer. Due to stomach infection?

Good evening, I had a recent bout of what my GP described as gastro virus. Symptoms were bloating , severe cramping with constant burping and flatulence . No vomiting or diarrhoea. I had feverish feelings but no high temp. This lasted for 4 days and is thankfully almost gone. The day I went to my GP (4th day) I was developing a rash on my face and forehead . I thought it might be the stress of the previous days and nights. My GP didnt have an opinion. This has gotten somewhat worse. It is not itchy but has a burning sensation and very noticeboard. I was wondering if this might be an after effect of my stomach ailment or something else. I have been applying a mild moisturiser with no effect as yet. Thank you for any advice.

Hello,

There can be skin manifestation with certain conditions, but the stomach infection is usually not co-related with such rash.

If the rash appeared after certain medications, a medicine induced condition or other possibilities of sun heat induced issue can be considered.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon

I am describing you what issues I am facing with Gastric Problem. According to Bristol Stool Chart: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Bristol_stool_chart.svg My stool is of Type 5 and Type 6. It gives pungent smell, when stool gets mixed with water it gives bubbles and feel like it is fermenting type. Even stool of Type 5 become of Type 6 when it gets mixed with water in Toilet Pot. Food pieces comes with stool e.g. if I take peas vegetable in night, I will see complete peas in stool, same is case with other vegetables like landyfinger seeds etc etc... After taking food within half to one hour my stomach get full of gas and it is bloated and tight. Though I rarely get stomach cramps and pain, I think it happened one or two times only when stool becomes of Type 7. I am getting stomach infection very regularly within 10-15 days frequency despite my food is prepared at home with cleanness and drinking water is also purified. Sometimes I get blood also in stool i think it happens once in 4 months most probably due to bacterial infection... not because of piles... All the time medicines prescribed to me by very old and senior doctor as follows 1. Zentel: Albendazole Tablet 2. Zinetac: 300 mg 3. Flagyl 200 4. Nutrolin B Earlier I used to get infection one in six months... and one week medicine course was sufficient for curing ailment... but Now I have to do 15 days minimum course to be fine... but soon I get infection again... It became chronic and I am troubled with it a lot.... I am sure it is not because of stress as I am getting it regularly as well as of typical type of infection...

Hi doctor, I am 28year male and is suffering from frequent and excessive flatulence . My bowel movements are fine but the stool is smelly and loose (like a thick paste) in nature. Colonoscopy , endoscopy and ultrasound turned out to be fine. I daily go to the toilet two times in the morning but whatever the case, the flatulence starts by late afternoon. I have changed my diet quite a lot of times but have not found any improvement. I had taken Rifagut for quite some time and it is effective as long as the medicine is taken. As soon as the medication is stopped, the symptoms are back again. What could be the reason for the loose stools and for the flatulence?
