Bleeding On 24th Day Of Cycle And Absence Later. Is This Due To Periods Or Pregnancy?

I have experienced a little blood drops on the 24 th day of cycle and after that, this was absent till now (26th day). I m a married woman. Is this sign of menstruation or pregnancy or other ? Kindly give me your advise.

Hi and welcome to HCM.

It could be implantation bleeding. If you had unprotected sexual intercourse with your husband during the fertile period of your cycle (12-16th day of cycle), then their are more chances of pregnancy.

Implantation is the attachement of the fertilized egg to the lining of the uterus and it happes shortly after the fertilized egg now calld "blastocyst" has arrived from it's travel through the fallopian tube inside the uterus. This usually happens around 6-12 days after ovulation and fertilization.

Despite implantation bleeding, only a positive pregnancy test will confirm with certainty if you are pregnant or not. So do a home pregnancy test if you miss your periods. If its positive and you are not planning for a baby then consult a gynecologist for termination. If its negative and your periods wont return, wait for another week and redo the test and then consult a gynecologist.

These pregnancy symptoms can happen with or without conception and implantation.
