Bleeding After Sex, Hurts While Walking, Urinating. Noticed A Cut From Vaginal Opening To Around Anus. Will It Heal Itself ?

I had sex for the first time on Friday and I realized that I was bleeding , so we stopped because it hurt too much. I realized later on that it hurt to walk and urinate so I looked down and I noticed that I have a cut from my vaginal opening to around my anus . Should I get surgery or will this heal on it s own, I m in pain and so scared. Please help!

Hi,
It is natural for the hymen to tear at the first intercourse. This can cause spotting and occasional bleeding and this heals naturally. If you are in such discomfort and if the cut is extending up to the anus, you should see a gynecologist immediately to assess the extent of the problem and see if you need any treatment. Most often, such things heal spontaneously; only precaution to be taken is to avoid further intercourse until the wound heals. Wish you good health.
