Bleeding After Scratching Leg. Should I Go To ER?

I Scratched my leg with my finger at dinner, It felt like a small scab but then my had was full of blood and that was about 3 hours ago. When I checked on the bleeding by removing the ace bandange that I put on to keep pressure on it it acutally started to spurt out. I know have it elevated but my husband wants to take me to the ER. They won't be able to stitch me up what could they do that I can't?

Hi,
If scratching done with finger then wound might not be so big to have stitches.
Apply pressure bandage with antibiotic cream, after some time bleeding will be stopped.
No necessity to remove bandage for 24 hours.
Ok and take care.
