Bleeding After Periods Stopped. Using Marvelon. Taken Macrobid For UTI. Due To Stress?

Hi there. I thought I finished my period Monday but tonight I bled a bit. Not spotting but red blood like a regular period. My start period day was last Thursday. I am currently using marvelon 21 birth control pills and had been on antibiotics for a bladder infection (macrobid) a few weeks ago. Had an 'accident' with my boyfriend the week before my period started so as a precaution I took Plan B the next day. Usually my periods start on the Wednesday as I take my last birth control pill on the Saturday. So this cycle it started a day later which I have had happen before when I have been on antibiotics before. But it's this 2 day later bleeding that scares me. I have been under stress with a recent move so is it possible my cycle is just a little off due to all the pills in my system and stress related? Or is there something else to be worried about?

Hello,
I went through' your problem. It seems that you have taken Plan B pill while you were on contraceptive pill.
The second bleeding is due to
1) Some contraceptive pills - itself can produce a bleeding like this
2) You have taken the morning after pill (Plan B) while you were on the contraceptive pill - both have different mode of action. Moreover you have taken Plan B pill in the safe period when Plan B pill is not indicated
3) Any antibiotic may affect the effectiveness of contraceptive pill - but for you it is not applicable as you got your period.
Stress may be because of your worry and for your complaints stress may not be the cause
The second period is due to your hormonal disturbance.
Otherwise you need not worry.
Best wishes for you
