hi,
thank you for your query

thank you for the detailed history.passing of clots is normal during menstruation but after periods is a cuase for worry.

The most probable causes for your bleeding after periods include-

-Hormonal imbalance. This factor often evokes shifts in menstrual cycle and unregulated bleeding of varied intensity. Intensive psychological and emotional distress or hard physical workloads can provoke imbalance of menstrual cycle.

-Inflammation of the pelvic organs. This is quite a frequent cause of such spotting. Additional symptoms, you may have, include low abdominal pain, raised body temperature

-Menopause.the change of balance of hormones during menopause causes irregularities of periods.

-Endometritis. This disease, especially, when it’s developing into its chronic form, has spotting after menstrual bleeding and before it as a major symptom. Endometritis is diagnosed by ultrasound and treated with anti-inflammatory therapy

-Endometrial hyperplasia. Although females of different ages are diagnosed with this condition, older ladies develop severe forms of hyperplasia more frequently which should be viewed as background for uterine malignant processes.

hence i would advise you to consult an OB/GYN for an ultrasound of abdomen to pinpoint the cause.

thank you,
wishing you good health
