Dear friend, welcome to HCM!

The bladder and numbness, foot drop issues are due to nerve root dysfunction after the surgery.(Sacral nerves mainly)

Either swelling (oedema) or damage of nerves can cause this. Low CSF pressure is common after surgery and if there is a leak.

Do you mean these symptoms were not there before the surgery?
Is there any fever or pus near operated area?

If new (I feel you mean this), please be guided by your neurosurgeon for the course to be taken.

If only oedema, it can get better with time and treatment.

Otherwise a surgical consultation will help.

I hope to have addressed your query well.

Take care and please keep me informed of your progress.

Good Luck!

I hope to have answered your query satisfactorily.

Thank you!
