Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

The above mentioned symptoms are associated with pericoronitis due to impacted wisdom tooth.

The flap overlying tooth has to be either incised to enhance tooth eruption or tooth has to be extracted.

Depending on the position as well as space available for tooth eruption, treatment can be planned.

Meanwhile,swish with warm saline frequently.

Rinse your mouth after every meals.

Maintain oral hygiene well.

Take care.

hi..
visit your dentist... he will irrigate and clean the area with saline and antiseptic... and he will grind any sharp corner of the tooth irritating your ulcerated area... antibiotics and pain killers will be prescribed...
after you got relieved from the symptoms, X-ray should be taken... in case, there is enough space for your wisdom tooth to come, it will be allowed to errupt normally or after a small procedure called operculectomy...
otherwise it has to be extracted...
take care....

Hi
As per your details it seems the your oral tissue behind wisdom tooth is inflamed so you first need to maintain good oral hygiene .
Operculum(flap) gets inflamed as food gets lodged around wisdom tooth, this infection then spreads in adjacent tissues.
Consult dentist of irrigation with normal saline under the flap covering wisdom tooth.
Do warm saline rinses 3-4 times a day.
Follow your antibiotic prescription and couple it with a Flanil tablet.
Take care

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

According to your symptoms i suspect that you have developed PERICORONITIS around your wisdom tooth.
I would suggest you to visit to an Oral Surgeon get a checkup done take an OPG radiograph of the affected region.
Plan for the removal of the tooth.
Take a course of antibiotics and analgesics under the prescription of your Dentist.
At home take lukewarm saline and antispetic mouthwash rinses.

Hope this helps out,

Regards...

hello
most probably you must be having pericoronitis plus may be the cusp of your erupting molar be hurting some tissue around it
what i would suggest is that u get a radiograph done and if there isnt any space for erruption of your tooth than get it extracted by consulting your dentist
in the meanwhile you can do following
1.augmentin twice daily
2.any painkiller with serratiopeptidase twice daily
3.omnacortil 10 mg twice daily
4.zincovit twice daily
5.luke warm saline rinses 6-8 times daily
6.add some turmeric powder to hexigel and apply to the affected site after every rinse
hope that will help you considerably

Dentist, Orthodontics Dr. Mrunal Meshram's  Response
hello
thank you for sharing your concern in hcm
your condition seems like peritonitis
get x ray done to check the extent of space available for complete eruption of wisdom tooth
visit your dentist for irrigation of the affected area, cutting or smoothing of any sharp corner etc.
meanwhile do not let food accumulate in the area, it can worsen the situation.
do antibacterial mouth wash gargles for few days
you can apply local anesthetizing lotion on affected area.
do warm water gargles after every meal
this should help
if any doubt , write us back
regards
