Hi,
Welcome to HCM
You had dogbite mostlikely by unvaccinated ,you must understand as 48 hours have already passed,
As rabies has no cure, we suggest vaccination for any suspicious exposure. Usually it is bite and exposure to saliva which transmits virus. It would be right to take post exposure vaccination at the earliest - active vaccination with HDCV on day 0.3,7,14 and 28.
That is best we can do.
Some time disease develops very late and even person forget about the bite, so do not ignore it These vaccinations are simple and safe.
Take care.
Good Luck.

Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Sachin Verma's  Response
hi dear,

since it was a stray non vaccinated dog and its difficult to trace or follow him, it will be better if you consult your doctor and go for rabies vaccination along with tetanus vaccination if not done in last 5 years

you can revert back if anything is unclear

Thanx
