Battery Changed In Morphine Pump. Not Working Right And Having Lot Of Pain. What To Do?

My son just had to have his battery changed in his Morphine pump. He has had pump for 5+years with no problems. Since battery fix about 6 weeks ago he has had 2 or 3 bad episodes of ? that his wife has had to rush him to ER. He is now home again but pump still not working right and he is in a lot of pain. Is this normal until things get adjusted? and if so how long does this take?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
Yes it is okay! it does not cause any harm till the pump rectify, it is all depend upon the patient's sensitivity, bearing capacity of pain, if patient is too sensitive to pain then he/she may not be able to tolerate low intensity of pain but it does not mean that such pain can cause any harm to patient you can try oral opioid pain killer, have nice day.
