Bad Spasms And Cramps In Feet And Calf, Numbness In Hands And Arms. History Of Herniated Disc And Nerve Damage In Leg And Toe. Advice

Hi I had a herniated disc left side about 2 years ago and suffered nerve damage in left leg and toe area.
On waking I have mostly since suffered really bad spasms and cramps in feet and left leg calf area since injury.
But for the past couple months I have been waking with hands and arms really numb early morning.
I have tried lying on my back with hands by my side but have still been waking with this in both arms and hands
really numb. What could this be? I am 5ft 6" was normally 9.5 st, but since injury I am over 10st in weight.

Welcome to HCM.It would be best to rule out cervical spine stenosis and compression of cervical spinal nerve roots which would cause th enumbness of hands and arms.A MRI scan of the cervical spine as well as a physical examination by a doctor/Neurologist ,with special reference to the CNS,would help identify the cause of the problem.Ruling out metabolic diseases like Diabetes/Thyroid disorders will help.Electrolyte levels of sodium, potassium and magnesium also need to be checked.
