Bad headache and high fever, very low white and platelet count. What is it?
My daughter in law has had a bad headache since sat eve and a fever as high as 102. Today they checked her urine -neg and blood - very low white count and platelet count. Did Ct scan - nothing. Suggested go backfire ER. What could this be? They just got married, followed by honeymoon, including camping - lots of bugspray, then moving into new home in 106 degree heat.

hi, you haven't mentioned blood counts as ct report. As it looks a viral fever ? DENGUE FEVER. So you have to observe fever pattern with other symptoms. Just visit your physician and do a course of broad spectrum antibiotics with analgesic drugs. Get repeat blood counts after three days and decide further treatment according to her genral condition.
