Bad breath, smell of burning rubber, pungent odor post accident. Due to heart condition?

My sister had a car accident several weeks ago. In the ER her breath was so bad, like a burning rubber smell. They believe it could be her heart because she remembers nothing about the accident? Any ideas about her breath. Even today some of the same oder, not as pungent. But still a burning rubber smell. Thank you

Thanks for posting your query.

Bad breath usually occurs due to poor oral hygiene maintenance.

This foul odour occurs with throat infection/GERD ,etc.

I would suggest you to visit a dentist and get a full mouth oral prophylaxis done.

Brush and floss your teeth regularly.

Use chlorhexidine mouthrinses to gargle.

If symptoms persists, please do visit a physician .

Take care.
