Bacterial Infection, Pulled Muscle And Pinch Nerve, Swelling. On Cephalexin And Clindamycin. Sufficient?

My husband is on cephalexin and clindamycin for a bacterial infection. He seemed to have pulled a muscle or pinched a nerve at work. He has tension and pain along the left side of his back and his back muscle appears to be swollen (can't take deep breaths). My question is, is it safe for him to take a pain reliever while on these antibiotics?

wishing you a speedy recovery
