General & Family Physician Dr. Gustav Gous's  Response
Thank you for your query.
The possibilities are; a chest wall pain (muscle or ribs) , a nerve injury , problem inside the chest cavity I.e. pleurisy . Unfortunately your history does not provide enough information to differentiate between these. Also at least a chest x-ray will be required to exclude possibilities. Obviously the treatment will depend on the cause. Please see a doctor as soon as you can. I trust you find this information helpfull.
