Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

well, what I understand with your short history is you need an intensive sports physiotherapist care. They have the ability to assess the post injury muscle weakness and also have the possible alternatives to help treat the condition. There are two types of method to help your problem. One is the traditional way and one is an individualized way. I recommend the individualized way because the long term goals and maintenance needs to be achieved.

Swelling of the feet is common due to lack of muscle strength post the diagnosis of the sciatica. Also due to lack of strength and pain, there is reduced mobility which leads to reduced venous return. So improving the overall strength in the muscles and also improving the endurance is one of the priority in the case which helps the hemodynamic stability to be at the optimum.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
