Baby With High Level Of ALP, Normal Hepatogram. Is It Worrisome?

please can you tell me if my baby who has ALP 1017, is normal? the rest of hepatograma is normal he is 40 days old he has bilirubin in 4, direct 0,5 and indirect en 3,5 we take and ecography and all is norma, lives (higado), viliar conduct, etc also megalovirus is negative the elevated value of ALP con be normal?

Hi,
the ALP levels what you have mentioned are never normal.
A cause for this has to be searched.
Also the elevated bilirubin is indirect bilirubin which means there is increased breakdown of RBCs in the circulation.
your child should be evaluated for any of the hemolytic anaemias and Hep A,B positivity.
