Baby Is Experiencing Weight Loss Even After Surgery. Underlying Cause?
I have a great nephew who is 2 mo. old who weighs less than he did at birth. Testing found that the hole from the stomach to the intestines was closed and surgery was performed. But still the baby is loosing weight. The surgery was a week ago on the past Sat.

Post surgery there is a catabolism in which there may be loss of weight and of everything goes fine and no surgical complications, he should start gaining weight after 2 weeks.
