hi shrikant
you have an chronic asthama and the cause is allergy. Peson gets allergy due to low immunity. So try to improve your immunity with pranayam yogas along with ayurvedic tratments. Do vaman which is panchakarma once in a year. avoid allergans like dust, pollutions, pefums , dark smell try to change the place inbetween or during hollidays.for more information dr.shilpa.benade@gmail.com

Carry out respiratory exercises regularly. This will help you on long terms. Bresol syrup has ayurvedic formula, it helps if your problem is secondary to allergy. It is used in a dose of 2 tsf twice daily. Keep your sleeping place dust free.

Hi srikant,
As u might have realized,u need to increase ur lung's ability for permanent cure.
First do kapalbhati, pranayama on regular basis.
To avoid production of excess mucus and to expel it out take vasakarishtam 2tsf thrice daily.
Pipali rasayana course to be taken under ayurvedic doctor.
Of course u have to avoid stress and allergens like chemicals, dust etc.
Wish u good health.

Hi, My name is Anup. I am from mumbai, India. I have asthma for last 3 years. i have been doing expriements by doing breathing exercises. I have tried doing anulom vilom & kapalbhati pranayam, but it triggered the asthma aatcaks more by doing this pranayam. I am very confused about this. Because it is said that only Pranayam can cure the Asthma permanently. Then recently i found a technique on google names Buteyko breathing technique. I found a article from Jill Macgowan(Ashtma specialist), she have written that mouth breathing is the major cause for asthma. After reading this article i done an expriement, the whole day i breathed from nose & concentrated on not to breath with mouth. Firstly i felt better by doing this. But after doing this 1 & half day, asthma attack triggered. Before doing this technique it was all good. SO again i am in confusion. WHy these breathing exercises are trigerring my asthma rather than curing it. Can anybody consult & show me the way. Thank u.....!!

i can't find anyone with my problem...just pieces here and there. I am a 22 year old female. i have a family history of heart disease but my mother and father are fine. I usually have a glass of red wine almost every night and some weekend i go out and drink. I've had an occasional cigarette when drinking but not any time lately. I work in a stressful job but i don't feel like it is taking a toll on me, the only reason i mention it is because i hear chest pain can be stress related. i get a decent amount of exercise and doctors have always told me i am in good health aside from borderline asthma in high school. I also had a few panic attacks mid high school but haven't had any since. for the last two weeks or so i've had bad chest pains in the center of my chest between my breasts. the usual off and on pain through the weeks has felt like my ribs are being pushed or punched inwards and sometimes it makes it hard to breath and i actually start breathing harder. here and there i think i've felt a heart murmer and here and there i feel like someone stabs me in the chest or heart with a knife. its freaking me out and as i type i feel a deep pain i've had for the last 20 minutes. it seems like these pains are getting worse and im in the middle of searching for a new doctor. i dont know if i should wait for something bad to happen to go to the e.r. or if i should just book a doctors appointment and wait out the pain.

He has severe allergies (cats, trees, weeds) and takes 2 oral & 2 nasal medications daily before and during allergy season. He is approx 5'5", 155 lbs.
