Arm Pain, Soreness Post Removal Of Sweat Glands In Armpit, Pus Drainage From Hole In The Skin Which Seems To Increase In Size
I had my sweat glands removed in my armpits about three years ago my one arm healed up good barely any scarring but the other one always looked like it never healed properly it recently got infected really bad to the point where I couldn t lift ut so my doctor prescribed me antibiotics and reffered me to go see a surgeon again I have been taking the antibiotics for weeks now my arm feels a lot better still a bit sore but the puss drained from it there was a lot and it continues to keep coming out I notices there is a hole now in my skin where the puss comes out about the size of the tip of a pen I think it might be getting bigger in size. Is this okay? I also had the same sort of thing happen to my leg along time ago the holes ended up being the size of a pea I m unsure if this is related doctors haven t been saying much please help! !

Hello, Thanks for the query. You might have developed abscess. These are deep bacterial infections. Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests. Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
