Are White Patches On The Skin Sign Of Vitiligo?

Hello - I have white patches on my skin that first appeared about 2 months ago. I am 35 years old. I first noticed pale white patches on my chin, under my nostrils, the tips of my mouth and around my cheek. I don't have any patches on my hands or feet. My doctor thinks it is either pityriasis alba or early stages vitiligo. In the last few weeks the patches have been getting whitter. Is this a sign that it is vitiligo?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, such white patches need to be ruled out for vitiligo even if it is not very much sure, or poorly differentiated, you can not take this as a granted so it is highly advisable to have a opinion from dermatologist because this is the only option you have, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
