Are They Any Possibility Of Chronic Micro Vascular Disease After A Stroke ?

my husband had a stroke 9/2012, had cognitive changes lately, mri shows changes of chronic microvascular disease and right insular/frontal lobe encephalomalacia from prior infarction. Questions is this common 1 yr after stroke,what are chances of worsening and timeframe? thanks

In MY opinion the report is sugestive of the previous stroke and it is quite common and the chances of worsening are less .
