Are There Side Effects Of Taking Lipo 6 Black And C.L.A On Pregnancy?
hi doctors.. Im 39 yrs old female..had 3 children from my previous relationship. now that im in a new relationship and is trying 2 get pregnant for the past 2.5yrs. went and saw a apecialist and started on clomid with my last period. I was taking lipo 6 black and C.L.A. but i stop taking it for a while but i started back 2 days ago. Will this reduce the chance of me getting pregnant cause I wanted 2 get pregnant ASAP before I hit 40. Thank you heaps
Lipo-6-Black and C.L.A. are two weight loss supplements. Lipo 6 Black is mainly caffeine; caffeine is not recommended in high doses during pregnancy but there is no evidence it is harmful. C.L.A. is a controversial lipid supplement that, when derived from food like beef and pork, had been associated with weight loss but the supplements being marketed are altered vegetable oils and are not recommended as safe for anyone. There are no studies of the safety of either of these products during pregnancy.
However, there is no way to ascertain whether these products would have any effect on conceiving, but they certainly are not recommended while you are pregnant. If you do not do so beforehand, I advise you to stop these supplements once you find out you are pregnant.
I hope I have adequately answered your question and that this information was helpful.
Best wishes, Dr. Brown
