Are There Chances Of Multiple Pregnancy?

Doctor i have pcos and getting treatment for past 2 years by taking diane.Now the cyst is gone and also took treatment to open tubes.now i took clofert in this cycle and have 3 ovums in my ovaries,2 in right and one in left.I am concerned about multiple preganancy kindly suggest what to do?my age is 27 years married for 3 years,weight 60kg,height is 5.5 ft

Hallow Dear,

Clofert is Clomiphene citrate. Clomiphene is known to cause hyperstimulation of the ovaries resulting into release of multiple eggs. If all of them or more than one of them get fertilized, multiple pregnancy can result.

In such cases, selective abortion of the embryo(s) leaving back the healthiest embryo is possible; however, the legal aspects of such termination varies from country to country. The decision should be taken only by consulting a Gynaecologist.
