Everything indicates that there is no specific exercise for lowering blood pressure, but that a healthy lifestyle is the first line of defense against high BP. If you need too, drop weight, eat a balanced diet high in fruits and vegetables, take a few minutes a day to intentionally relax, and exercise (whatever way you like!) regularly, you will most likely see amazing results. If you don't, try either breathing exercises (there are specialty CD's that take you though these exercises that don't cost much, and yoga has a similar effect) or you can try a device/therapy called the Zona Plus. Breathing exercises will lower your BP 6-8 points and the Zona has an average of 20. My husband's grandfather used the Zona and dropped his over 50 points (if you can't tell, I am a big fan, but it is the only thing that worked!). The Zona is a handheld device that facilitates a carefully calculated isometric exercise. Good Luck!
