Are There Any Side Effects Of Using The Medicine Parlodel?
Hi Dr I have started the hcg diet day 7 have to do 23days I have very high prolactin levels due to a microprolactinoma Can I commence on parlodel while on this diet?and also does very high levels of prolactin cause weight gain?what are choices for medications does parlodel cause anger as a side effect

Parlodel contains bromocriptine which is used to treat parkinson's disease. It can improve the ability to move and can decrease shakiness, stiffness, slowed movement and unsteadiness. It is also used to treat high levels of a certain hormones namely prolactin and growth hormone. High levels of prolactin may cause problems like unwanted breast milk, weight gain, difficulty becoming pregnant, decreased sperm production etc. Side effects of Parlodel are dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, tiredness, constipation, headache, lightheadedness, sleep problems, loss of appetite, dry mouth, stuffy nose, confusion, hallucinations, anger, allergic reactions etc. If you experience any of these side effects, you should contact your doctor for medical help.
